What happens when plans change.
Before you accept a quote
You can close your job at any time in your account, free of charge. Plumbers who have already taken it are told.
After you accept a quote
- If you need to cancel or change the date, tell the plumber as early as you can, through your account or the messages.
- With less than 24 hours' notice, the plumber may charge the call-out fee, if the quote says so.
- Work already done, or parts ordered specially for you, may be charged as set out in the quote.
When the plumber cancels
You do not pay for anything that was not done. You can reopen the job or accept another of the quotes you received. If you need it, our team helps you find an alternative.
Changes to the work
Extra work or parts outside the quote should be agreed in writing, with the price, before they are done. Messages on plumbers.pt keep a record.
Right of withdrawal
If your contract with the plumber is made at a distance or away from their business premises, consumer law may give you 14 days to withdraw without giving a reason.
If you ask for the work to start straight away, for example in an emergency, you may have to pay for the work already done, and you lose that right once the service has been fully carried out.
For plumbers: credits
When you take a job, the credits are held. If the client never replies to you and the job ends (booked with another plumber, closed by the client or expired), the credits come back to your account automatically.
Once the client has replied to you or accepted your quote, the credits are charged and are returned only, after review, if the job is fake, a duplicate, or the client cannot be reached.
